Our Story & Local Roots
After a career in professional baseball, Charley Sands opened the first Charley’s restaurant in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1975. The Lynchburg location opened in 1980.
In 2001, Charley’s expanded its offerings by establishing a full-service catering department, providing off-site catering for meetings, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and community events throughout Lynchburg and Central Virginia.
Community & Longevity
